Supplying manpower to MICE banquets, housekeeping and various other industries is the core business of the versatile Hong Ye Group since 2010. This demands smart networking from the team that CEO Fu Xiao Wei has built over the last half a decade.
The company’s professional recruiters use their networks to find the best possible candidates. Once these have been selected, the experienced team of recruiters orientates the candidates before deploying them to clients.
Recruitment (supplying manpower) is not the group’s only activity. Other businesses include a division devoted to providing professional cleaning services to a range of businesses, as well as Cantonese restaurant Dragon Bowl, which has two outlets – one in Aperia Mall, Kallang, and the second one in Marina Square.
In 2015, Fu was named one of the winners in the New Entrepreneurs category of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which is organised by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Rotary Club of Singapore.
What are some of the challenges your company faces and how do you go about solving them?
Fu: We have grown to over 100 full-time staff within a short period of time; the company was only founded in 2010. As we grow, one of the challenges we face is finding the right candidates at the right time – and doing it speedily. Our recruiters work like a big family, supporting each other to efficiently source and effectively deliver the best talent. Focusing on teamwork to deliver the best service has been our key attitude to solving these challenges.
What is your approach to networking? How would you prefer someone to reach out to you?
Fu: We aim to consistently provide the most remarkable service by demonstrating warmth and efficiency. We value personal, long-term relationships with clients and word-of-mouth recommendations from them. We want the services we provide to not only reach but also exceed their expectations.
I am active on social media such as Facebook and LinkedIn as well as other digital media, so I can be reached through those platforms as well.
What is your most effective tip for increasing sales?
Fu: Trust makes our team productive. Passion drives effectiveness and helps to motivate the team members to deliver their best. A vision for getting the best results through commitment and teamwork sets the ground for the goals we set.
What is your most effective tip for improving your own productivity?
Fu: Having daily goals and a positive attitude keeps me productive. The other thing I try to do is to focus on critical strategic matters rather than simply responding to the urgent tactical ones. If you can do that successfully, it makes a difference to your business.
What do you think about a business card management service such as Sansan?
Fu: Contact management solutions such as Sansan are an efficient and time-saving method to help businesses manage their contacts. They provide a fully integrated approach to tracking customer activities and give us quick access to an up-to-date database of clients and potential clients.
